Keurkloof's charming Karoo-style cottage has been furnished and decorated with sensitivity to the low-key, rustic nature of the place, without compromising comfort. Cool cement floors and lime-washed ceilings form the backdrop to a collection of Cape country furniture, complemented by elements like choice linen and original art.
The cottage has three bedrooms and an open-plan living area, leading out onto a generous shaded stoep (veranda), where one can enjoy the fresh air and expansive views. In total the cottage sleeps five people - two on a beautiful antique wrought iron bed in the main bedroom, one on a single bed in the second bedroom and another two on single beds in the bedroom off the patio, which has its own toilet and basin.
Electricity free, your stay at Keurkloof cottage will remind you of a gentler, unhurried time with the soft glow of eco-friendly solar lights and a Jetmaster fireplace to keep you warm on cold winter nights.
Modern convenience is provided for by gas for the stove, fridge and hot water for the bathroom, which features a Victorian bath and shower.
The kitchen is very well equipped and the built-in braai (barbecue) on the stoep provides an alternative for preparing meals.
